Use recyclable bags for soft items and boxes for fragile items
Use recyclable / biodegradable bags for robust soft items like rubber/cotton/linen/denim clothing and fabric bags.
Use boxes with biodegradable packing for delicate/fragile/oversized items like leather, silk, glass, or weekender/travel bags.

Last item I received was extremely creased as though it has been screwed up. It was folded expertly, but am unable to wear until professionally pressed by a drycleaner. May have been better if packaged in a box.

The bags need to be biodegradable in home compost otherwise they are worse than non-biodegradable plastic. Please Iconic do your research and avoid greenwashing!

This is one I’m passionate about,!please become a leader in banning plastic as much as is possible. We can use paper where possible and even return the outer packaging as well.

Definitely agree! Lots of "eco" brands already do this, so it's definitely possible.

The convenience of online shopping and the easy returns process unfortunately means TOO MUCH plastic is used (and damaged/destroyed for any possible future use) .... therefore a better environmental packaging solution is needed.

This needs to happen! It’s the future to make online e shopping more sustainable. I avoid online shopping and some brands because of the over use of unsustainable packaging! Be a leader @theiconic

Absolutely! - I see that you state it can be recycled through redcycle.
Currently soft plastics can only be downcycled once before they are denatured & then sent to landfill.
Having packaging that could be repurposed, recycled indefinfinately (such as paper) or biodegradable would be the best & most thoughtful solution for both your customers & the Planet. -

Thanks for your comment! Our packaging is actually already recyclable although you would need to drop it off at one of these locations http://www.redcycle.net.au/where-to-redcycle/
That said we are working right now on the future state of our packaging and sustainability is front of mind. We are just at the beginning of our journey but you can find out more here as it develops https://www.theiconic.com.au/edition/social-and-environmental-responsibility-insider/
