For NZ shoppers the gst amount is visible before you add to cart
This seems silly but I know we have to be charged the gst but it makes the final price less desirable once we have clicked on a sale item that is 20% then off added to cart where the 15% gst is added, it has put me off going through with my purchase a few times!

I totally agree! Whats more, is that we are in fact paying two lots of taxes. The Australian version of goods and services tax and the New Zealand's GST!
